DAvis Girls Lacrosse 2017 coaches
Kelsey Gill: Head Coach
Kelsey started playing lacrosse at Alta High as a freshman and continued at the varsity level for the next three years. She was listed as an all state midfielder her junior and senior years and experienced going to the state championship as a junior. During her sophomore summer, Kelsey played on Team Utah, U17. She went on to play collegiately at BYU for three years as a D-wing and center. Her sophomore year they went to Nationals and were always consistently ranked in the top 10.
During her third year at BYU, Kelsey was the head girls lax coach at Lone Peak and helped them finish a .500 season their first year as a division one program. The three years following she helped to start a team at UVU and was their head coach in 2013 and 2014. Kelsey joined the Davis High program in the fall of 2014 and has been with these girls since with no plans of leaving anytime soon.
Kelsey is happily married to her husband Mitch, and has two darling boys; Bradley & Henry. She enjoys teaching school, being active outside, and spending time with family and friends.
Holly Wright: Assistant Coach
Holly started playing lacrosse over 11 years ago and has loved it since day one. She played on multiple teams including Murray High, Davis High and University of Utah. She has been involved in coaching the Davis High Girls team for a few years, stepping up when the team really needed leadership. Molly is a Davis High graduate. She served a full time mission for her church in Seattle Washington. She has been married for two years, and is now the mother of the cutest little boy. Her husband is in school at Utah Valley University, and she is a full time mom at home and loves every second of it.
Merideth Bird
Merideth fell in love with lacrosse when she was in high school. She loved it so much that she sought out every opportunity to play when younger. She played for Bingham from 2002 -2004. In 2003 and 2004 she tried out for Team Utah as low defense and low attack and made the cut both years. Merideth also played winter league at the U of U. Unfortunately graduation and becoming an adult got in the way of playing but now she is finally back in the game coaching. "This is such an amazing game and I am glad to be finally back."
During her time off from lacrosse she lived in Japan for a semester and did volunteer teaching to pre k and kindergarten kids. She went to college on and off for a couple years. Served a full time mission from 06 - 08 came home met her husband and started their family soon after. They have been married for 8 1/2 years and have three crazy but wonderful kids ages are 7, 5 and 3. Merideth is a proud stay at home Mom whose husband works crazy hours so she can be home with the littles.
Summer Anderson: JV assistant coach
Summer played lacrosse for 5 years with Davis High. During her time there she played low attack but her senior year she was switched to low defense and loved it. She played at UVU for a semester before deciding to move back home. Summer is 19 years old. She is currently going to the DATC to become a medical assistant and works as a CNA at legacy home health.
